  • Seeking public comments for Maintenance Dredging at Tongue Point and Oregon Slough

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District (Corps) proposes to perform maintenance dredging of two federal navigation channels in Oregon State: Tongue Point and Oregon Slough. The purpose of the proposed action is to facilitate safe and reliable navigation. Congress has authorized construction and maintenance of the two navigation channels at various times.

  • Seeking public comments for City of Boardman Water Facility Expansion proposal

    Expiration date: 10/22/2021

    Beginning today, the public has 15 days to comment on Portland District’s Environmental Assessment (EA) for a water facility expansion in the city of Boardman, Ore. The proposed water system improvement project is on approximately four acres within a 128-acre lot owned by the Corps. A portion of the city’s water system is located within the existing 1.68-acre easement from the Corps. The city needs to acquire an additional three acres to complete needed water system improvements.

  • Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Environmental Assessment of the Federal Navigation Channel Operations and Maintenance Dredging

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District (USACE) has finalized a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Environmental Assessment of the Federal Navigation Channel Operations and Maintenance Dredging at Baker Bay, Chinook Channel, Elochoman Slough, and Lake River.

  • Final Detroit Dam IRRM Pool Reduction FONSI & EA

    The Corps has developed this Environmental Assessment (EA) to evaluate the environmental impacts of this summer conservation pool restriction at Detroit Dam. The project requires review under applicable laws and regulations, including the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

  • Supplemental EA & FONSI for Depoe Bay Maintenance Dredging

    Interested parties are hereby notified that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District (USACE) has finalized the Depoe Bay Maintenance Dredging Supplemental Environmental Assessment (SEA) in Lincoln County, Oregon and signed a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI). The SEA and FONSI were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Council on Environmental Quality’s NEPA regulations (40 CFR §§ 1500–1508), and the Corps’ NEPA regulations (33 CFR Part 230).
