This informational Public Notice announces the intention of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, to accept funds from the Cascade Natural Gas (CNG) project (Cascade Natural). Portland District would allocate funds internally to expedite the Department of the Army processing of CNG’s proposed request to modify a federally constructed flood risk reduction project by relocating a natural gas distribution pipeline currently hanging from the Grade Street Bridge across the Coweeman River in Kelso, Washington.
Following Portland District’s publication of a public notice on 22 February 2016 on its intention to accept funds, no comments were received and therefore the District will accept funds after entering into a Memorandum of Agreement with CNG.
