DECISION TO ACCEPT FUNDS FROM NORTHWEST NATURAL GAS

This informational Public Notice announces the intention of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, to accept funds from the Northwest Natural Gas (NWN) North Mist pipeline project (North Mist). Portland District would allocate funds internally to expedite the Department of the Army processing of North Mist’s proposed request to modify a federally constructed flood risk reduction project by constructing a new underground gas storage capacity through the development of the Adams reservoir.
Following Portland District’s publication of a
public notice on November 12, 2015 on its intention to accept funds, no comments were received and therefore the District will accept funds after entering into a Memorandum of Agreement with NWN.
