Public invited to comment on Portland Metro Levee Flood Risk Management System Study

PUBLIC NOTICE
Informational Meeting And Availability of Draft Integrated Feasibility Report And Environmental Assessment
Portland Metro Levee System (PMLS)
Multnomah County, Oregon

Interested parties are hereby notified the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps), has prepared a Draft Integrated Feasibility Report and Environmental Assessment (Report) for the Portland Metro Levee System.

AVAILABILITY OF PLANNING AND ENVIRONMENTAL DOCUMENTS
The Corps has made the Report available and is soliciting comments from the public on the Report. The comment period begins on January 6, 2020 and ends on February 14, 2020. The Report is available for download at the following link: www.nwp.usace.army.mil/levees/pmls

The non-Federal sponsor is the Columbia Corridor Drainage Districts (CCDD) Joint Contracting Authority. Multnomah County Drainage District #1 (MCDD) has been given authority to act on behalf of CCDD for day to day management on this study. The Corps and MCDD will also hold informational meetings on the PMLS Study as listed below.

During the event, which is open to the public, the Corps will provide a presentation on the Tentatively Selected Plan. The purpose of the meetings are to allow for direct interaction between the public and the project development team, to inform the public of the findings of the Report, provide the status of the feasibility study, and inform the public on how they can provide comments. Corps and MCDD staff will also be available to answer questions.
