This informational Public Notice announces the intention of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, to accept funds from Jordan Cove Energy Project, L.P. pipeline project (JCLNG). Portland District would allocate funds internally to expedite the Department of the Army processing of JCLNG’s proposed request to modify a federally constructed navigation project by constructing a new off-loading facility adjacent to the Federal Channel in Coos Bay, Oregon.
Following Portland District’s publication of a public notice on December 1, 2015 on its intention to accept funds, twelve comments were received. Only one comment discussed the acceptance of 214 funds but the Corps found the comment had no merit and therefore the District will accept funds after entering into a Memorandum of Agreement with JCLNG.
