  • Ongoing improvements for fish passage at Foster Dam to close road

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will close the road on top of Foster Dam, Sweet Home, Oregon, to remove a large crane, Dec. 4-29. During this time, Foster Dam Road will be closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic. For a time, the Corps used the crane and elevator system, which was innovative for its time, for adult fish collection and passage over Foster Dam; however, the equipment wasn’t fully successful in moving fish above the dam in an efficient manner. Corps biologists concluded there were better options.
  • Corps to host Foster Dam construction info session

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will host a public information session about the upgrade of the Foster Dam Adult Fish Collection Facility Wednesday evening, Nov. 14 at Foster Elementary School, 5526 Poplar St. in Foster, Ore.
  • Corps announces Foster, Green Peter road closures

    The roads over Foster and Green Peter dams will be closed for construction activity at various times in November and December.
  • Construction crews moving to Foster Dam Oct. 17

    Sweet Home, Ore., residents and visitors should be aware of construction crews and equipment moving from Hwy. 20 into Wiley Park and other areas around Foster Dam, beginning Oct. 17, 2012.
  • Foster Dam fish facility construction to start soon

    The Corps will soon start a major construction project at Foster Dam to construct a large new fish facility. Wiley Park users will see permanent and temporary closures of park sections.

 Button image Right-click that icon, and then copy the shortcut to the Clipboard.
Press Ctrl+V to paste the information from the Clipboard into the RSS Feed location box.
