The hopper dredge Yaquina, one of two hopper dredges owned by Portland District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, travels along the Lower Columbia River in August 2021. The Yaquina and the Essayons, which make up the district’s hopper dredge fleet, work together to maintain the navigation channel up and down the Lower Columbia River each year.
