Our new Minto Adult Fish Collection Facility on the North Santiam River is approaching completion. We designed the facility to safely trap and haul adult spring Chinook and winter steelhead upstream of Detroit Dam via transport trucks, where they will be released to spawn naturally. Final structural, mechanical and electrical work is ongoing, but we've started commissioning tests, like this first watering of the fish ladder February 22. Construction is scheduled to be complete March 2013 and the facility in operation April 2013.
