The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District (USACE) will not perform a deep drawdown at Detroit Reservoir in the fall of 2025.
Dredged material is graded following shoreline placement on Pillar Rock Island in the lower Columbia. Shoreline placement assists in habitat creation and allows the Corps to keep clean sand in the Lower Columbia River system but outside of the Federal Navigation Channel.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Portland District, halted the court-ordered drawdown of Green Peter Reservoir, November 22, after receiving requests from three cities downstream on the South Santiam River.
