U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS
DECISION TO ACCEPT FUNDS FROM OREGON DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

This informational Public Notice announces the intention of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, to accept funds from the Oregon Department of Transportation for the Columbia River Crossing Project. This funding is intended for Corps review of two 33 U.S.C. Section 408 permits to modify or alter a portion of Peninsula Drainage District 1 and 2 federal flood protection systems and to modify the federally authorized navigation channel in the Columbia River near the existing Interstate 5 Bridge.
Following Portland District’s publication of a public notice on October 1, 2013 on its intention to accept funds, no comments were received. The District will accept funds after entering into an Intergovernmental Agreement with ODOT.
