  • Bonneville Dam Navigation Lock 1 (NL1) Maintenance Dredging and In Water Sediment Placement

    Interested parties are hereby notified that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District (USACE) is providing public notification of a proposed discharge of dredged material as required by the provisions of section 401 and 404 of the Clean Water Act (CWA) via the Bonneville Dam Nav Lock 1 Maintenance Dredging and Placement, CWA Section 404(b)(1) Evaluation. The Preferred Alternative is a temporary project that would address the need for the replacement of steel stoplogs with new precast, pre-stressed concrete stoplogs to meet current USACE guidance, at Bonneville Dam in the Columbia River. 
  • Corps to hold public interviews for Bradford Island Community Involvement Plan

    The Corps Portland District will be holding in person and virtual interviews from July 11, 2022, through August 11, 2022, and would like your input as part of the development of the Community Involvement Plan and your interest in the potential creation of a Community Advisory Group (CAG). The Corps would like to find the best way for those interested to ask questions and provide input.
  • Bonneville Dam's Great Electrifying Event: Feb. 28

    Bonneville Lock and Dam will host its fifteenth annual Great Electrifying Event Saturday, Feb. 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Washington Shore Visitor Center. This free educational event teaches the basics of electricity and how it is generated, in support of National Engineering Week.
