PUBLIC NOTICE – RECORD OF DECISION FOR INTERIM OPERATIONS: WILLAMETTE VALLEY SYSTEM OF DAMS

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Portland District, is providing notice that the Record of Decision (ROD) under the National Environmental Policy Act  for the  Willamette Valley System Operations and Maintenance Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) is published.

The ROD outlines interim operations to address new requirements from the National Marine Fisheries Service Biological Opinion while the USACE completes a Supplemental EIS to comply with the Water Resources Development Act of 2024. 

The Portland District will publish a new ROD after the completion of the SEIS, expected in 2026. That ROD will select an alternative for the continued operation of the Willamette Valley System into the future.
