    Corps places Coyote Island Terminal permit application review on hold

    MCR North Jetty access restricted beginning fall 2014

    The public will not have access to the North Jetty at the Mouth of the Columbia River beginning in October 2014 when the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers begins the next phase of its major rehabilitation of the jetty system.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will start dredging operations in the lower Columbia River in July. The dredging is part of the Corps' annual river maintenance intended to keep the federal navigation channel safe for commercial shipping.
