Published Sept. 10, 2015
PORTLAND, Ore. – Celebrate National Public Lands Day (http://www.publiclandsday.org) and the National River Cleanup (http://www.americanrivers.org/take-action/cleanup/) by giving back to your watershed. Join the fall Rogue River Clean-Up, Saturday, Sept. 26, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There will be several meeting spots from Lost Creek Lake to Gold Hill. Register early to select a part of the Rogue River to help clean that means the most to you. Boat spaces are particularly limited.

Gloves, garbage bags, water, first aid kits and guidance will be available for all volunteers. Volunteers will gather at the TouVelle State Recreation Site after the work session for a free lunch, raffle giveaways and other volunteer appreciation.

Volunteers will also receive a pass good for free entry any day during the next year at sites managed by the Corps, National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, or Bureau of Land Management.

Contact Gail Perrotti at 541-261-7796 or gperrotti@earthlink.net to register and for more information.

This Rogue River Clean-Up event is co-sponsored by the Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jackson County Master Recyclers, Rogue River and Seven Basins watershed councils, and Rogue Riverkeeper.
