PORTLAND, Ore. -- Confused about U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) permitting?
We hear you. That’s why we’ve scheduled two public listening sessions Sept. 23 at the Roseburg, Oregon Public Library.
Regulatory permitting staff from our Portland and Eugene offices will be available to answer questions and listen to comments and suggestions.
Each two-hour session will begin with a 15-minute overview of the permitting process, leaving an hour and 45 minutes where we shut our mouths and listen to you.
USACE is responsible for protecting our nation’s waters and wetlands. The USACE, Portland District Regulatory office handles permitting actions in Oregon and some locations on the Washington state side of the Columbia River.
As country music legend George Strait sang, “We’re here for a good time (not a long time),” so don’t miss this opportunity.
