Lance Cpl. Jeremy D. Tolhurst, a 20-year-old native of Detroit, is a field wireman with 8th Communication Battalion, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Headquarters Group, II MEF (FWD). Before joining the Corps, Tolhurst said he never had the characteristics he has now. Married for only nine months, Tolhurst misses his wife but has learned confidence and consistency in his job field during his first deployment.
