Enjoy a free, full day of hands-on and interactive activities that highlight the basics of electricity and how it's generated at Bonneville Lock and Dam.

    Bonneville Lock and Dam's annual Great Electrifying Event shows how the dam keeps the Northwest powered up. Hands on activities and videos demonstrate the basics of electricity and how it's made, while powerhouse tours give an up close look at Bonneville's hydropower generators. This free event is great for kids and adults.
  • The Dalles Dam hosts an amazing race, geocache style

    Park rangers at The Dalles Lock and Dam invite the public to take part in an amazing race, geocache style, between 1 and 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 29 at Seufert and Patterson parks. This would be a good introduction to geocaching for those unfamiliar with this GPS-centered sport.
