Corps seeks comments on Fall Creek fish facility

PORTLAND, Ore. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking public comments on its draft environmental assessment of the proposed Fall Creek Dam and Reservoir Adult Fish Facility Upgrade. 

The Corps is proposing to upgrade the existing Fall Creek Dam fish collection facility to enhance upriver passage of adult Upper Willamette River Chinook, steelhead and other native species. The preferred alternative provides volitional swim-up capacity, the ability to hold fish, and water-to-water transfer, all of which reduce stress and injury and improve fish survival.
