PORTLAND, ORE. – Portions of S.E. Tenino and Umatilla streets and S.E. 21st Avenue near Crystal Springs Creek will be closed beginning June 11 when the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers begins construction to restore a portion of Crystal Springs Creek. Access to S.E. 21st Avenue at Tenino and Umatilla streets will be closed to through traffic through the end of September. See the attached map for details.
The Corps and the city of Portland are working together to restore a portion of Crystal Springs Creek in an effort to improve fish habitat and passage. The Corps will replace two culverts at S.E. Umatilla and S.E. Tenino streets, restore a stream corridor, remove a driveway culvert at S.E. 21st Avenue, and install green streets for stormwater management and treatment.
