  • Draft Environmental Assessment of Lower Columbia River Anchorage Dredging Open for Public Comment

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District (Corps) proposes to perform annual dredging by the Corps and/or its contractor to remove shoaling at seven existing, U.S. Coast Guard (USCG)-designated anchorage grounds and Corps Civil Works program anchorages located in the Lower Columbia River (LCR), adjacent to the Federal Navigation Channel (FNC), between RM 14 and 106, and placement of the dredged material between RM 3 and 106.
  • Draft Environmental Assessment of Avian Deterrence open for public comment

    Expiration date: 4/30/2023

    The Corps is proposing to continue non-lethal deterrence activities at Bonneville, The Dalles, and John Day dams, including a suite of exclusion devices (i.e., avian wires) and active deterrent actions (i.e., pyrotechnics) as has been conducted in previous years.
  • Corps seeks public comments on draft feasibility report and environmental assessment for Willamette Basin Review feasibility study

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District and the Oregon Water Resources Department, seeks comment on its draft Integrated Feasibility Report and Environmental Assessment (EA) and draft Finding of No Significant Impacts for the Willamette Basin Review feasibility study. This study will be used to formulate a recommendation to the Chief of Engineers on the potential allocation of storage in the Corps’ Willamette Valley reservoirs, referred to collectively as the Willamette Valley Project.
