  • Navigation locks on Columbia, Snake rivers to close March 2 for annual maintenance

    COLUMBIA & SNAKE RIVERS, Ore. & Wash. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will conduct routine annual inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs at all navigation locks on the Columbia and Snake rivers during March.
  • Great Electrifying Event lights up Bonneville Lock & Dam, April 6

    Join the Corps, Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., for the annual Great Electrifying Event, an up-close-and-personal look at Bonneville Lock & Dam and the importance of hydropower in the Pacific Northwest. Corps rangers will host a free, family-friendly day full of hands-on activities, videos, and tours inside one of the dam’s two powerhouses.
  • Corps to upgrade early warning sensors at Willow Creek Dam

    Starting in mid-February, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, will install new sensors in the foundation of Willow Creek Dam, which will provide early warning if the dam’s performance changes over time.
