The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District (USACE) has conducted an environmental analysis in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as amended The Final Environmental Assessment (EA), dated June 2026, evaluates the repair to 10 of the 15 Cottonwood Island Pile Dikes associated with the Lower Columbia River (LCR) Federal Navigation Channel (FNC). The pile dikes are located between River Miles (RM) 68 and 72 near the City of Longview in Cowlitz County, Washington.
