Oregon Corps projects get $146 million for aging infrastructure

Army Engineers and planners will receive $146 million for various infrastructure projects at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) sites around Oregon. This funding came from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) and the Disaster Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act.

Spillway gate rehab closes Detroit Dam road

A second season of rehabilitation of the Detroit Dam spillway gates begins Nov. 2, which will close the road on top of the dam. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers anticipates the work window and road closure to last through February 28, 2021.

Erosion repairs to disrupt south shore fishing area below Dexter Dam

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will begin erosion repairs below Dexter Dam, southeast of Eugene, July 10. The repairs may disrupt access to the south shore fishing area until July 20.

Corps continues field studies at Willamette Valley dams

A drill crew will soon be on site at Cougar Dam, east of Eugene, Oregon, as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers continues field investigation at some dams in the Willamette Valley. The crews will also install instrumentation on the crest of Cougar Dam. The drilling and installation will require the eastbound lane across the dam to be closed intermittently. These closures will be from May 30 to June 13 between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., reducing traffic to one lane.

Construction to close Fall Creek North Shore boat ramp

Portland Mayor Hales and Corps announce environmental restoration project for lower Willamette Basin

City of Portland Mayor Charlie Hales and Portland District Commander Col. Jose Aguilar announced that a plan to restore five Portland sites in the lower Willamette River basin was unanimously approved today by the Civil Works Review Board of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Washington, District of Columbia.

Corps to close Green Peter Dam road, adjacent parks

We will close the road over Green Peter Dam and the public areas on both ends of the dam from Aug. 31, 2015, to Feb. 15, 2016, to rehabilitate the second of the dam's two spillway gates.

Critical repairs beginning at MCR North Jetty
