PORTLAND, Ore. - LePage and Plymouth Parks, on the Columbia River above John Day Dam, are scheduled to open April 1 for the 2016 recreation season. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recreation day use fee changes are as follows:

• $5 per private vehicle.

• $2 per adult for walk-in or bike-in.

• $20 per bus or commercial vehicle.

• Children under 16 are not charged a day use fee.

Day use fees allow use of a boat launch or any developed swim beach at a Corps-operated recreation area for that day.  A Corps annual day use pass may also be purchased for $40, which allow daily use of facilities for one year from the month of purchase. Passes can be purchased at the parks’ entrance fee stations during normal operating hours, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., April 1 to October 31.

For questions or more information about the John Day Lock and Dam and nearby recreation areas, please contact the John Day ranger office at 541-506-4807 or visit http://www.nwp.usace.army.mil/Locations/ColumbiaRiver/JohnDay.aspx
