    The public is encouraged to attend in person the next Bradford Island Federal Facility National Priorities Site Listing Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) meeting at Cascade Locks City Hall or virtually via to Zoom Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 5 - 7 p.m. to ask questions and provide comments.

    The next Bradford Island Federal Facility National Priorities Site Listing Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) is scheduled for Tuesday, March 12, 2024, from 5-7 p.m. via Zoom. The public is encouraged to attend online via Zoom. This will be a virtual-only meeting via Zoom. There will also be an opportunity for public questions and comments.
  • Corps Posts the Willamette Valley Project National Historic Preservation Act Section 106 Programmatic Agreement Fiscal Year 2023 Annual Report

    The United States Army Corps of Engineers (Corps), Portland District entered into a programmatic agreement with the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation and the Oregon State Historic Preservation Officer regarding compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act for undertakings related to the operations and maintenance of the Willamette Valley Project in Benton, Lane, Linn, and Marion Counties, Oregon.
  • 30-Day Public Review Period Open for Draft Environmental Assessment to Install New Fish Friendly Turbines at John Day Dam

    Interested parties are hereby notified that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District (Corps) is seeking public comments on the Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for John Day Turbine Replacement and Generator Rewind Project (EA). The Preferred Alternative would replace 12 of the 16 existing turbine runners and generator stator windings at the John Day Lock and Dam in the Columbia River.

  • Public Comment Period Open for Long Tom Channel Improvement Project

    Expiration date: 6/30/2023

    The Corps is proposing modifications to the Long Tom Channel Improvement Project in Benton County, OR. The Recommended Plan, total removal of the Monroe Drop Structure, would restore approximately 43 acres of aquatic and floodplain habitat, enhance connectivity to a historic meander through installation of a larger culvert and engineered pool and riffle structure, and armoring of the OR-99 bridge piers to prevent scour caused by increased velocities upstream of the drop structure.
