  • Mid-Columbia River Regional Master Plan and Integrated Environmental Assessment

    Interested parties are hereby notified that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District (Corps) is seeking public comments and will conduct a series of open houses to assist in the development of the Mid-Columbia River Regional Master Plan for Corps-owned lands associated with Bonneville, The Dalles, John Day and Willow Creek. The Corps intends to integrate into the master plan an Environmental Assessment (EA), prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Council on Environmental Quality’s NEPA regulations (40 C.F.R. parts 1500-1508), and the Corps’ NEPA regulations (33 C.F.R. part 230).

  • La Grande Regulatory Field Office Closed

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District Regulatory Branch has closed the La Grande, Oregon field office.
  • Regulatory Branch accepts permit applications electronically

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps), Portland District, Regulatory Branch accepts permit applications electronically. The use of electronic communications and digital information processing reduces transmittal delays and improves the timeliness of the permit process.
  • Corps and DSL invite permit applicants to monthly meetings throughout 2018

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District and the Oregon Department of State Lands invite prospective Clean Water Act Section 404 and Oregon’s Removal-Fill permit applicants to meet with the agencies as part of regularly scheduled interagency pre-application meetings, known as “Kaizen”.

  • Rogue River Regional Master Plan and Integrated Environmental Assessment

    Interested parties are hereby notified that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District (Corps) is seeking public comments and will conduct an open house to assist the Corps’ development of a regional master plan for the Corps’ Rogue River Project, which consists of Lost Creek Lake, Applegate Dam, and the Elk Creek project.
  • 2018 Annual Maintenance Navigation Lock Closure Scheduled at Bonneville, The Dalles and John Day

    The annual maintenance lock closure for Portland District, Corps of Engineers is scheduled for March 2018. Maintenance, inspection and repair work will take place at the locks during the closure. Locks to be closed include Bonneville Lock & Dam (Columbia River Mile 145); The Dalles Lock & Dam (Columbia River Mile 191); and John Day Lock & Dam (Columbia River Mile 216).
  • Emergency Permitting Application Procedures

    The Corps can initiate processing of permit applications under emergency authorization procedures on a case-by-case basis.
